Yoga for Beginners


Yoga is a powerful practice to build strength, focus the mind and cultivate a healthy body. Perhaps you have found yourself on the fence about starting yoga as it can seem daunting? Perhaps you see the benefits in others and want to experience the same for yourself? This course is for YOU.

At Lumi we have taught yoga for nearly 10 years – we are experts, we are friendly, and we are super inclusive!


In this 6-week online beginner course you will:

  • Learn the basics to build a strong yoga practice. Each week has a theme to explore and you will deepen the practice step by step – no rush
  • Build confidence in your practice and poses to take different yoga classes
  • Discover tools and techniques that make a difference for you
  • Have expert tuition via online video system Zoom
  • Have two sessions each week to choose from – you can also join both, and if you miss a session, we will send you a recording


Over 6 weeks. Weekly sessions on Saturdays 11am-12pm (first session 10 October).

Having left a demanding marketing job, Barb started practicing yoga more regularly and became totally hooked after participating in the ’40 Days to Personal Revolution’ programme. It was then that Barb experienced true clarity. She committed herself to a journey of dedicated practice and teaching yoga to others. She had found her purpose.

Barb is a 500hr certified teacher, after completing both her 200hr and 300hr teacher training at Lumi, and teaches because she loves sharing the benefits of yoga with others. She feels bringing yoga into one’s life can transform both body and mind.
